It really is hard to know who truly is the best team. It’s made it really frustrating to watch, though I’m still watching.
I agree with TK about Thrash running college football! I really do think he’s be great at it and it would make sense again.
I agree, Kurt, about who doesn’t beat themselves as much. Yes, they’re kids, but they absolutely need the discipline. I say this as I just watched our QB do one of the dumbest things ever. Throw a ball away if you have to, but not right at a player on the other team. Or, better yet, just slide with it…and the fact that we’re letting him QB after I feel it’s been proven that our backup is WAY better.
Not only does it matter who the coach is, but you gotta have a good QB that the team respects! I do have to say I so far like Sumrall better than Napier, but I’m not a fan of our QB. I agree about Belichick and Saban. Can’t stand the Pats or Bama, but they both had great coaches, who I also couldn’t stand, but you can’t deny when someone’s doing a good job 🤷🏻♀️
The tape delay blew all our minds, Kurt! I also don’t want a lot of people around when I’m watching a game. I used to love getting together with friends at bars to watch games, and that was great, but I need it simple right now…I say as I’m watching my daughter do arts and crafts and catch up on the pod 🤷🏻♀️

Long time VOL season ticket holder here, hurts my heart but I felt that loss to SC coming.We are not a well disciplined team. Too bad we are getting to expect that. Beamer is a goober but that win may save his job. Moving on…… KY is no joke this year. They are fun to watch. Planning to be in KnoxVegas on gameday.
If we are not at the game, we are ready to go at kickoff. No delay in watching the games 😊 and no distractions during the game. House rule.

FYI….I knew who Kurt and Tully was before the podcast. I've been a die hard fan of Jason Aldean and his band. I know who they all are….Kurt, Tully & Rich were together for a long time. Jay is a awesome creator and is very talented. When it comes to Jack, he doesn't get in the public eye. He just shows up and does his job. Honestly I didn't know much about song writers because I never looked into it. So K-Lo and Thrash has made me learning more about writing more interesting and how smart they are.
Like I mentioned in a previous football podcast. Why do college athletes get paid so much? They pretty much go to college free because they play for the college. They shouldn't get paid to play….they have go to college for free so they need to keep their grades up and think smart and look forward to be moving up to pro.

5+ STARS! Great stuff guys, I followed the end of that UT-SC game last week and felt bad for K-Lo, they totally gave it away! Great analysis on the Vols not containing the SC QB. It was good getting K-Lo to state his beef with Shane Beamer – I get he doesn't like Beamer Ball, and Shane was an assistant at UT years ago so maybe he didn't like his coaching there, but Shane is a BIG country music fan, he's friends with Chesney, and I guarantee you that Shane has several K-Lo songs in his old CD collection or currently in his phone. So K-Lo, to steal from Caddyshack, you got that going for you….which is nice…LOL!
I firmly stand with Kurt, TK and Thrash that you cannot watch a sporting event on delay so I'm happy to hear K-Lo watched the Bama win live. The NIL and transfer portal have made college football totally different and a Thrash/Saban combo would be a good duo to try and fix things, but I agree with TK, it is wide open and the playoffs should be fun and getting into those will be tough. How good is Kentucky? Guess we'll find out soon.
The whole daylight savings time debate was fun, it is a blast watching you guys state your case with each other on football and topics like DST. Heck, even Mark "Sweet Velvet" "Willis" Wills was enjoying you guys going at it when he was on as a guest last week – that is a must watch episode! I get TK's point of view from being from Northeast New York, but I am totally with Kurt and Thrash – I can't stand it being dark at 5 pm here in MD for a couple of months, it's depressing.
Pats-Dolphins is always one of those games that both teams get up for and I could see Kurt and TK not watching together… it's like Caps-Flyers in the NHL for me, I don't ever want to watch those games with a Flyers fan (and today is a great day because the Caps knocked off the Flyers 5-2 last night…sorry BirdieJaneLane…you've told me you're a Flyers fan, but I forgive you since you're a hockey fan, LOL!)
I've liked the recent comments from AmazingDV, he's been around since the start and is a loyal listener, but I get Kurt's dislike for him calling him "Kirk" after 2.5 years of this podcast. I get called "Frank" all of the time because of my last name and it's annoying.
